Job summary

FFB Bank is seeking a Merchant Relationship Manager to drive merchant services sales across designated markets. You will prospect new leads, build durable client relationships, and coordinate with commercial lenders, branch managers, personal bankers, and tellers to generate referrals and deliver tailored banking solutions.

The role emphasizes servicing and supporting merchant clients, troubleshooting issues, and earning performance-based incentives beyond base compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; field not specified.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related experience in banking or financial services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
• Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain products and services with confidence.
• Knowledge of commercial banking products, services, and regulatory compliance required.
• Ability to take initiative, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and relationship-building abilities to lead collaborative efforts.

Responsibilities

• Generates new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and meetings.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive long-term business.
• Uses CRM systems to track interactions, update records, and manage pipeline activity.
• Develops and manages a portfolio of client relationships by identifying financial needs and delivering tailored banking solutions.
• Leads the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and funding.
• Creates and delivers proposals and RFP responses addressing client challenges and the Bank’s solutions.
• Gathers and analyzes financial information for underwriting, pricing, and approval of proposed solutions.
• Strives to achieve or exceed goals for sales volume, revenue, margin, fees, and cross-sell performance.
• Maintains accurate pipeline and sales activity records using Bank-approved CRM tools.
