First Merchants Bank is seeking a Merchant Sales Officer to drive revenue growth by developing and expanding Merchant Services relationships. You will analyze merchant statements, prepare tailored proposals, and collaborate with bank teams to cross-sell services.

The role requires 3 years of financial services sales experience and an Associate's degree, with travel about 20% for client meetings and business development.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, marketing or related field is required.
• Three (3) years of business development, sales, or related financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Statement Analysis: Analyze merchant account statements to assemble proposals and RFPs for sales opportunities.
• Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals ahead of deadlines tailored to each client to maximize revenue.
• Revenue Enhancement: Identify opportunities to introduce new services/products that boost revenue.
• Client Acquisition: Actively seek and convert prospects into Merchant Services clients, expanding the customer base.
• Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high satisfaction and referrals.
• Collaborative Selling: Partner with cross-bank teams to conduct joint calls and presentations.
