Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to visit local retailers within the Market - AMRET - AZ - Phoenix area and educate merchants on the client’s financial services. This field-based role requires daily travel and a proactive, relationship-driven approach to maximize program value.

You will be the face of the brand in the field, building trust, delivering training, and ensuring an excellent merchant experience across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 6 months in sales, promotions, retail, or marketing.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
• Partner with the client to train and advocate client products at the retailer.
• Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory.
• Maintain professional interaction with both merchants and fellow employees.
• Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays and merchant feedback.
• Travel to major markets and events for iconic launches to promote products.
