Landing Point, a New York-based bank serving professional service firms and SMBs, seeks a Merchant Services Accountant to support daily clearance, settlement activities, and month-end close for its growing merchant services platform.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with GPA 3.2+, experience in payment processing preferred, and strong proficiency in Excel and Word. Candidates should be able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment at our New York office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Payment processing background preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly clearance and settlement activities for Merchant Services payment processing.
• Daily reconciliation of wire & ACH transactions to processors and In Process or suspense accounts.
• Process manual ACH payments and record accounting journal entries for daily and monthly activities.
• Record Mastercard (weekly) and Visa (monthly) invoices.
• Reconciliation & review chargebacks during month-end close.
• Assist in month-end close process and operational initiatives.
