Job summary

Shift4 is seeking a proactive Merchant Onboarding Specialist to manage the complete onboarding lifecycle for merchants. You will gather data, configure POS settings, set up online ordering, and coordinate installation dates to ensure timely delivery of equipment.

You will train merchants on Shift4 products, explain gift card and marketplace integrations, and maintain cross-channel communication to guarantee high satisfaction levels.

Qualifications

• Technical skills: hardware deployment, configurations, and logistics.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Google/Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to self-manage, research, and test features.

Responsibilities

• Engage with merchants and gather requirements for POS configurations and reports.
• Manage full onboarding lifecycle: data gathering, configuration, installation scheduling.
• Program merchant menus and set up online ordering; explain marketplace integrations.
• Ensure merchant satisfaction with exceptional service tailored to client needs.
• Maintain multi-channel communication including email, calls, tickets, and chat.
• Configure menus and train merchants on Shift4 products.
• Analyze feasibility of requested features and devise creative solutions.
• Document client interactions and configurations using Excel and Google/Muite.
• Develop in-depth understanding of merchant processing industry and role.
