Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) for its Idaho stores. Trainees will gain hands-on experience across garden, hardware, lumber, building materials, plumbing, and electrical departments while developing leadership and store-management skills.

The program includes mentorship, performance feedback, and hands-on practice in customer service, merchandising, and operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates in selling effort and lead culture; drive customer service and engagement.
• Perform opening/closing MOD and other store-wide responsibilities; enforce SOPs and safety compliance.
• Ensure safety/hazmat procedures are followed by self and team.
• Plan merchandise placement, signing, and maintain stock integrity through inventory management.
• Participate in a structured training program covering retail store management, including staffing, scheduling, stock issues, and performance management.
