Job summary

At Home Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Merchandising to support the Store Manager in leading merchandising, store conditioning, and team functions in a large-format At Home store.

You will drive sales and ensure in-stock conditions while developing a high-performing Zone Lead team in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, visual standards, and a customer-focused in-store experience, with leadership opportunities and a path for internal growth

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
Minimum 3 years leadership in big-box or high-volume retail.
Experience leading 20+ team members and managing $5M+ revenue.
Knowledge of freight processes, inventory control, stocking, and merchandising.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/workforce scheduling systems.
Strong communication and ability to inspire teams.

Responsibilities

Drive store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals.
Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength.
Coach and develop staff; promote internal career growth.
Plan staffing to labor model; manage payroll accuracy.
Oversee merchandising, transitions, resets, and visual standards.
Lead customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, shrink, and loss prevention.
Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
Lead team communications via regular huddles.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
