Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve.

In this role, you’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight. You will assist with all store functions, perform opening/closing procedures, protect assets, uphold safety standards, and maintain neat stockrooms and sales floors.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform standing/walking duties.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentation.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stocking to productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners.
