Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding store standards.

In this role you will assist with opening and closing duties, protect assets, supervise associates, and implement monthly Sales Planners to keep the floor sales-ready. A background in retail and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Maintain areas of the store and stockroom to company standards.
• Process freight and merchandise receipts; manage freight flow.
