Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Belton, MO seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and focusing on merchandising and processing freight. You will assist with daily store operations, ensure safety and asset protection, and help plan and stock merchandise to meet productivity standards.

The role requires prior retail/management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
