Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Missouri City, TX to work with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and ensuring positive experiences for customers and communities. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight to keep stock ready on the floor.

You will handle opening/closing procedures, maintain store areas, protect assets, and follow safety guidelines while fostering a positive, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise and manage freight flow
• Order and stock merchandise needs and ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
