Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Chesterfield, MO to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and focusing on merchandising and processing freight.

You will handle opening and closing procedures, safeguard assets, and ensure store standards while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and coworkers. This full-time role offers growth opportunities in a high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking in bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise with cler strips and panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
