Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Perryville, MO. You will join the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team of associates and focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You’ll assist with daily store functions, open/close procedures, asset protection, and policy compliance while maintaining clean, presentable areas of the store. The role emphasizes high-energy teamwork, strong communication, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise; manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs and ensure sales floor effectiveness.
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners.
