Job summary

Dollar Tree in Belton, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing, and payroll/scheduling tasks, while maintaining store standards, safety, and loss prevention.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash) and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
