Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Westminster, CA. You will support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and focus on merchandising and freight processing to deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires retail and management experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll work in a high-energy store environment with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store activities as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Support the Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow per productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
