Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, while supporting daily store operations.

This role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You’ll help maintain cleanliness, safety, and a friendly environment for customers and associates, with

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties: process receipt and return of DSD merchandise, manage freight flow, stock needs including frozen & refrigerated items, ensure sales floor is effective, maintain Clip Strips/Power Panels, implement monthly Sales Planners.
