Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in New Jersey to lead a team, ensure a clean, safe and well-stocked store, and meet sales and margin goals. You’ll partner with district and area staff, adjust schedules for demand, and develop associates through cross-training opportunities.

This role emphasizes leadership, safety, and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The position requires availability across mornings, afternoons and evenings, and may involve

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver customer service and maintain a clean, safe store.
• Anticipate customer flow and work demand and adjust schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Plan for spikes in sales and ensure in-stock position to support demand.
• Conduct safety walks and coach associates around safe work practices.
• Collaborate with store leadership, District Manager and Area staff to meet service, sales and operational goals.
• Rotate through Specialty and Operations assignments for cross-training and development.
