Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer service in a clean, safe, and well‑stocked store, while achieving sales and margin goals.

You will anticipate customer flow, plan for spikes in demand, conduct safety walks, coach associates on safe practices, and collaborate with the store leadership team and district staff to optimize service, sales, and operations. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Anticipating customer flow and work demand and redirecting efforts and schedules to ensure coverage.
• Planning for spikes in sales and ensuring in-stock position to support demand.
• Conducting safety walks, monitoring power equipment use, coaching associates on safe practices.
• Lead a team to deliver exceptional service in a clean, safe, well-stocked store and achieve sales/margin goals.
• Collaborate with peers on store leadership, District Manager and Area staff; rotate through Specialty/Operations for cross-training.
