Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in New Jersey who will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked store. You will manage coverage, plan for demand spikes, and drive sales and margin goals while optimizing store operations.

The role requires 2+ years leading associates, 3 years in fast-paced environments, and 1 year in manager-on-duty duties, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and store systems. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Anticipating customer flow and work demand and redirecting efforts and schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Planning for spikes in sales and ensuring in-stock position to support demand.
• Conducting safety walks and coaching associates around safe work practices.
• Lead a team to achieve sales and margin goals while driving operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with store leadership, District Manager and Area support staff to meet service, sales and operations objectives.
