Job summary

Total Wine & More in Sterling Heights, MI seeks a team member for merchandising, inventory support, and customer service excellence. You will maximize product inventory, assist with online orders, and help with curbside pickup and deliveries as needed.

The role emphasizes welcoming customers, building relationships, and gaining product knowledge through wine, spirits, and beer training. Flexible scheduling, store safety, and compliance are expected as part of the daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, placing signage, and supporting digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to laws related to sale of alcohol and a safe store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
• Load and deliver orders safely if delivery is an essential function.
