Responsibilities include scheduling, mentoring staff, maintaining product freshness, and enforcing safety standards. You will collaborate with leadership to meet sales goals while upholding Meijer values of inclusion and service.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of others.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and profitability.
• Ensure freshness and proper rotation of products.
• Guide team to follow food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and display where applicable.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
