Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all store areas to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives and related communications.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD Policies.
10. Manage freight flow in collaboration with the Store Manager.
11. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
12. Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
13. Maintain stockroom organization.
14. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
15. Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
16. Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
