Cherokee Federal is hiring a Physician for MEPS duties, performing comprehensive medical evaluations and ensuring compliance with OSHA, Privacy Act, and DoD standards. The position is on-site at MEPS locations including Amarillo, TX and other cities.

Starting salary ranges from $208,000 to $250,000 with full-time benefits; license, BLS, and MHS GENESIS training are required. Background investigations and credentialing are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the United States or territory.
• 3 years of graduate training in the specialty or equivalent experience.
• CAC/PIV preferred; possession is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Ensures OSHA and Privacy Act compliance per DoD and USMEPCOM standards.
• Reviews medical records, histories, and physicals; evaluates lab results and coordinates with consultants.
• Identifies disqualifying conditions from diagnostic tests.
• Performs comprehensive in-person histories and orthopedic-neurological exams.
• Informs applicants of abnormal findings and updates the MSIS database.
