Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a physician to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants at multiple on-site locations, ensuring OSHA, Privacy Act and DoD standards compliance. Must have MD/DO and active medical license with at least 3 years of graduate training.

Starting salary ranges from $208,000 to $250,000 with full-time benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K. On-site duties at MEPS locations in Tampa, Miami, and other cities nationwide are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from US/Canada or equivalent with certifications as required.
• Current full medical license in US/DC/PR/territory.
• At least 3 years of graduate training in the specialty.
• CAC/PIV preferred; clearance process required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and Privacy Act compliance and DoD standards.
• Review medical records, histories and physicals per DoD standards.
• Evaluate tests and coordinate with consultants and waiver authorities.
• Perform comprehensive in-person histories after prescreening and authorization.
• Assess injuries and disorders with orthopedic-neurological exam.
• Inform applicants of abnormal findings and update staff databases.
• May require occasional shift work and weekend work as assigned.
