Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants in accordance with OSHA, Privacy Act, DoD, and USMEPCOM standards. The role requires on-site duties at MEPS locations and handling detailed histories, exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.

The position pays a starting salary in the range of 208,000 to 250,000 with full medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits; the salary is commensurate with experience and all required credentials

Qualifications

• Requires MD or DO from US/Canada; accredited by relevant medical boards.
• License/registration as Physician in US; active, full, unrestricted.
• 3 years of graduate training in specialty or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants per DoD standards.
• Review medical records, histories, exams, and diagnostic tests; identify disqualifying conditions.
• Coordinate with consultants and waiver authorities; document in the USMEPCOM database.
• Communicate abnormal findings to applicants and update medical staff.
• Perform on-site duties at MEPS locations and assist with credentialing.
