Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to work on the MEPS study, a national survey of health care costs and usage across the United States. Field Interviewers will conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households, traveling as needed to collect data and documents.

This part-time, non-exempt role runs yearly with two data collection periods, and mandatory training occurs in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to protect project information.
• Available for mandatory web-based and in-person training in January 2027.
• Travel to mandatory trainings and possible overnight travel.
• Post-training home study between January 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation; set appointments; complete interviews and collect documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and comply with data security requirements.
• Complete administrative paperwork and adhere to program rules.
