Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS project. You will conduct in-person and video interviews with adults, contact households, set appointments, and collect data for a multi-year panel study.

Travel to in-person training in January 2027 is mandatory, with periodic travel during data collection years. The position is part-time with two data collection periods annually and varying hours, typically evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training and Teams sessions between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Be available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training (Jan 19–25, 2027).
• Be available to complete additional mandatory web-based and virtual training activities, following in-person training (Jan 26–31, 2027).
• Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week when work is available, mostly evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect and follow up with signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily when work is performed.
• Comply with all data security and confidentiality requirements.
