MEPS Field Interviewer - Part-Time, Evening/Weekend Travel

Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study. You will conduct in-person interviews with adult household members, travel to assigned locations, and transmit data daily using a Westat laptop.

The role involves training in January 2027 and periodic travel, including overnight stays as needed. This part-time position runs across two data collection periods each year, with breaks between rounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Availability to complete required training between Jan 4–15, 2027 and attend in-person training Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally overnight.
• Be able to work at least 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with adults in households.
• Schedule and complete interviews, transmitting data daily.
• Travel to training sessions and fieldwork as needed.
• Maintain data confidentiality and complete paperwork.
• Support Westat field supervisor as required.
