Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to support the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS).

You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households across the United States. Daily data transmission, appointment setting, and completion of interview paperwork are required, with travel to local and occasionally long-distance sites, including mandatory January 2027 training.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate clearly with respondents of diverse backgrounds.
• Be able to manage time and travel between households.
• Familiarity with computer-assisted interviewing is a plus.
• Experience with field data collection or survey administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in sampled households.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation, set appointments.
• Complete and submit administrative paperwork; transmit data daily.
• Travel to MEPS in-person training and to local or long-distance households as required.
