Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), a nationwide study sponsored by the AHRQ. This part-time position runs across two data collection periods each year, with in-person interviews and travel to training in January 2027.

FIs contact households, conduct interviews, and transmit data daily. A mandatory training window and potential overnight travel are required, with an emphasis on data security and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Be available to complete mandatory web-based home study training and required Teams video sessions between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Be available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training in January 2027 and to travel to assigned households, including overnight travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households by phone to introduce the study, set appointments, and complete interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily and complete required administrative paperwork.
