Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Superintendent Mechanical-Electrical to lead, direct, and coordinate work of subcontractors for MEP systems on a major construction project in Philadelphia. You will supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence.

Reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or MEP Manager, and collaborates with owners, architects, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture or four years of formal engineering/architectural experience. Proficiency in coordination using BIM and MS Office. Strong written and verbal communication. Leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of mechanical and electrical trades to meet schedule, safety, quality, and budget targets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and Turner staff to resolve design clarifications, procedures, and labor/equipment needs.
• Manage site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and codes.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns; participate in performance reviews.
• Develop and implement recovery plans to protect schedule and budget.
• Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve problems.
• Monitor and approve monthly estimates, payrolls, and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work conforms to contract documents and is integrated with 3D coordination models.
• Lead inspections, turnover, commissioning, and punch lists for system handover.
• Maintain detailed daily MEPS trade progress records and support preconstruction efforts.
