Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Superintendent Mechanical-Electrical to lead subcontractors and Turner trade labor on MEP systems. You will direct safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence while coordinating with engineers and architects.

Responsibilities include supervising junior staff, managing field issues, and ensuring compliance with contract documents. Strong leadership and communication are essential for project success at the site in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least ten years of related experience, with minimum six years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction.
• OSHPD experience is required, with OSHPD 1 project experience preferred.
• Experience using Primavera P6 for scheduling is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of building construction means, methods, scheduling and cost control procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor for mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget adherence.
• Coordinate among trades to promote a coordinated project operation and resolve field issues.
• Manage site safety programs and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and regulations.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns; contribute to performance reviews.
• Oversee billing, monthly estimates of work, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
