Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Superintendent - Mechanical-Electrical to lead and coordinate subcontractors on complex MEP systems, ensuring safety, timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence on a New York project. The role requires a engineering or architectural degree with extensive MEPS construction experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Reports to Project Superintendent/PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture with at least six years' experience in mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read, interpret contract documents, drawings and specifications; leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor for MEP systems; ensure safety, schedule, quality and budget adherence.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns; conduct performance appraisals as needed.
• Create schedules, coordinate sequencing of work, and develop recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with engineers on MEP coordination drawings and model reviews for approvals.
• Lead project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training for system acceptance.
• Maintain daily MEPS trade contractor progress records and manage billing and payments with subcontractors.
