Job summary

Project Talent Partners is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager for Georgia data center projects. The role involves leading large-scale MEP scopes, coordinating with field leadership and trade partners, and driving execution from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of construction project management experience, prior work with a General Contractor, and data center or mission-critical project exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP project execution from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout

• Coordinate with MEP Superintendents, Project Executives, field leadership and trade partners
• Manage MEP subcontractors, vendors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and design changes
• Identify coordination issues and drive solutions before they impact schedule or cost
• Lead MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Maintain project documentation, reporting and project controls
• Mentor and develop project engineers and junior team members

A leading national General Contractor is expanding its Georgia Data Center project teams and is looking for experienced MEP Project Managers LOCAL or TRAVELLING to join its growing mission-critical operation.

If you have experience delivering large-scale data center, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing or other highly technical projects, this is an opportunity to take ownership of major MEP packages and work alongside one of the industry's leading project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead MEP project execution from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
• Manage major mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP/MEPF) scopes across large-scale data center projects
• Develop and manage project execution plans, budgets, schedules and procurement strategies
• Coordinate closely with MEP Superintendents, Project Executives, field leadership and trade partners
• Manage MEP subcontractors, vendors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and design changes
• Identify coordination issues and drive solutions before they impact schedule or cost
• Manage MEP procurement, equipment lead times and material delivery
• Track project costs, commitments, forecasting, change orders and financial performance
• Lead MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Manage contract requirements, scope changes and commercial issues
• Support commissioning, testing, startup and L1-L5 turnover activities
• Coordinate with commissioning agents and owner representatives through final handover
• Maintain project documentation, reporting and project controls
• Identify schedule risks and develop recovery strategies where required
• Build strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and junior team members

You should bring:

• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• Previous experience working for a General Contractor
• Data center or other mission-critical construction experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical construction
• Experience managing large subcontractor teams and complex trade coordination
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, contracts and change management
• Experience taking projects through commissioning and turnover
• Ability to manage multiple complex scopes while maintaining schedule, budget and quality
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
