Job description

This position will lead all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction and design coordination through commissioning and project turnover. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in driving project execution, managing complex MEP scopes, and ensuring alignment between design, schedule, budget, safety, and constructability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP, fire protection, and controls coordination throughout all phases of construction.
• Drive constructability reviews, scope development, value engineering, and preconstruction planning efforts.
• Collaborate with project teams, design partners, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee MEP scheduling, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Manage quality control, safety standards, and operational excellence across all project phases.
• Build strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor project teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience managing MEP construction on large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• 10+ years interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Extensive experience with:
• HVAC Systems
• Chilled Water Systems
• Electrical Distribution
• Plumbing Systems
• Experience supporting mission-critical/data center construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commissioning, startup, operational testing, and performance validation processes.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software.
• General Contractor experience is required.
• Experience managing both CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP scopes is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced construction environments.
