Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-million dollar MEP projects in Virginia. You will drive strategy, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships from start to finish.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management and 15+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and process piping. Leadership and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with 15+ years of experience managing mid to large MEP projects.
• Experience on large/complex projects with process piping and extensive HVAC construction knowledge.
• Strong understanding of project financials, schedules, and tracking production from start to finish.
• Ability to plan long term, lead by example, and develop junior staff.
• Excellent communication and client presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to meet contractual and financial project targets.
• Measure progress, report results, and devise tactics to stay on track.
• Develop client relationships and provide status updates to leadership.
• Partner with management to implement project strategies.
• Manage budgets, cost projections, change orders, and revenue.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate across departments.
• Mentor Project Managers and Engineers and coach performance.
• Direct and motivate teams through all project phases and drive problem solving.
