Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant MEP Manager to lead MEP components for a large data center project near Alexandria, LA. The role involves coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology systems from design through closeout.

You will guide the design and progress, manage collaboration with VDC teams, and ensure project goals, safety, quality, and cost targets are met. Per diem and travel incentives are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field; 3+ years MEP/construction experience.
• LEED certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and Navisworks.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
• Strong analytical and logic skills with precision on detailed work.
• Developed communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Be a champion to support IIF safety culture and care for each team member.
• Communicate and reinforce the tenets of an IIF workplace.
• Ensure adherence to processes and procedures that support an IIF culture.
• Comply with all safety requirements and policies.
• Provide direction to ensure timely and quality results.
• Partner with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams for project interests.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate MEP work and supervise design and progress.
• Coordinate with local codes and officials; ensure inspections and tests are conducted.
