Job summary

Atlantic Constructors seeks a Project Engineer - MEP to lead two or more commercial construction projects. You will work with Project Managers and Assistants to ensure the team has the information and resources to be successful, coordinating with field crews, customers, vendors and subcontractors.

The role focuses on maintaining project tracking, developing internal schedules, preparing submittals, coordinating with architects and engineers, and supporting change requests, close-out documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; 2+ years in a commercial construction environment or equivalent
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role
• Must multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to all company policies and schedules

Responsibilities

• Maintains project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization
• Creates and maintains internal project schedules
• Prepares complete, accurate and timely submittals based on drawings, specs and vendor info
• Coordinates with architect or engineer and project team on submittals
• Assists with change requests and project close-out documents
• Distributes contract documents to subcontractors and vendors
• Schedules and attends project meetings with the team, subcontractors and clients
• Supports project personnel to ensure quality, schedule, budget and safety
