Clark Pacific in West Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced MEP Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, design decisions, and trade partner procurement for vertical projects and MEP packages.

The role requires 7+ years in MEP preconstruction, strong leadership, and the ability to read electrical/HVAC/plumbing plans. Competitive salary range of $160k-$200k plus benefits, with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of preconstruction experience specific to MEP systems.
• Experience leading a team of MEP Project Engineers or Estimators.
• Ability to read electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications.
• Working knowledge of estimating tools such as QTO, Estimating, and BIM-related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP preconstruction activities, including estimating, design management, and subcontractor/vendor procurement.
• Coordinate teams of preconstruction staff to develop complete scopes of work for MEP systems.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor bid proposals and provide recommendations for award, considering project risks and challenges.
• Prepare comparative analyses of estimates and explain variances to project stakeholders.
