Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in MEP coordination or related construction fields.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems integration with structural and architectural components.
• Experience reviewing drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and resolving field conflicts.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection software.
• Experience supporting project operations, preconstruction, and estimating.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Procore, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of California building codes and Northern California experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate MEP systems across active construction projects, ensuring integration and installation sequencing.
• Review construction drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and BIM models to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors, design teams, and field personnel.
• Manage clash detection and BIM coordination using Revit and Navisworks.
• Conduct field walks to verify installation conditions and address constructability issues.
• Support project scheduling, procurement, quality control, commissioning, and closeout.
• Participate in preconstruction planning, design reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Assist with MEP estimating, quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, budgeting, and value engineering.
• Identify long-lead equipment, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with estimators, project teams, engineers, and trade partners to develop effective project execution strategies.

MEP Coordinator – Operations & Preconstruction

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to support commercial construction projects throughout the Sacramento market. This role will focus 60% on active project operations and 40% on preconstruction, including MEP coordination, constructability reviews, estimating support, and project planning.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and can work effectively with project managers, field teams, design consultants, and trade partners to resolve conflicts, improve constructability, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP systems across active construction projects, ensuring proper integration and installation sequencing.
