Job summary

The MEP Field Coordinator at Opitz Bürotechnik is responsible for monitoring the construction of projects to ensure they meet budgets, schedules, and regulatory, environmental, and health and safety requirements. This role coordinates owners, field personnel, the design team, maintenance, and outside contractors on site.

Travel up to 30% may be required as you work closely with the owner and project team to manage installation of sorting systems, materials, equipment, and control systems across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of on-site management in new construction and large renovations.
• Prison project experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and document management tools such as ProCore; scheduling software such as Suretrak/P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Study and understand drawings and specs, review and understand existing industrial / commercial systems, develop installation schedule outside operating hours, provide field oversight to multiple contractors, and QA/QC of work.
• Participate in Closeout Meeting between Architect/Engineer and Contractor.
• Develops and manages contract documents including plans, submittals, change orders, as-built, etc.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to maintain business plans and track field action items.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to establish construction milestones and review closeout items.
