Job summary

Opitz Bürotechnik is seeking a Field Coordinator to oversee the installation and testing of sorting systems, coordinating owners, field crews, design teams, and contractors to meet budgets and schedules. The role requires heavy mechanical experience, on-site management of large projects, and travel up to 100%.

You will review drawings, manage schedules, QA/QC, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
5–7 years of on-site management experience in new construction or large renovations.
Heavy mechanical experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and document management tools (e.g., ProCore).
Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Study drawings and specs; develop installation schedule for after-hours work and oversee contractors.
Oversee QA/QC, equipment testing and commissioning across multiple systems.
Maintain field logs, daily reports, and progress photos; review pay apps and invoices.
Coordinate with Project Manager to establish milestones and manage closeout documents.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
