Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest seeks a Mechanical Estimator to perform MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding on assigned projects. You will collaborate with architects, clients, BD and operations staff to understand objectives, schedules, and information needed for accurate estimates.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, taking-offs, soliciting bids, and ensuring bids reflect full scope. You will utilize Take Off, Bluebeam, Destiny, Building Connected and Excel to maintain an estimating database

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field; 2–3 years of MEP estimating experience.
• Experience estimating MEP systems, budgeting, and bidding for projects.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and drawings; prepare quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and review bids for conformance to specs and costs.
• Develop estimates for management, plan projects, and determine cost-effectiveness.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and internal staff to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Organize and maintain a centralized cost estimating database and historical data.
