Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Design Phase Manager to lead design phase activities for multiple concurrent projects, covering estimating, system selection, and commissioning planning. The role emphasizes coordinating with business partners, ensuring scope, quality, and schedule adherence for MEP work.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in construction or engineering, strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, and the ability to travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, preferably with a Mechanical, Electrical Contractor, or related firm.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide input and participate in acquisition of new projects.
• Lead design phase management and coordination of MEP systems.
• Review MEP options, perform system analysis, and present recommended solutions.
• Coordinate life cycle cost analysis during MEP system selection.
• Manage budgeting, estimating, and cost control for MEP scope.
• Lead and mentor project team members and ensure quality and schedule performance.
