Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks an Electrical Designer to produce drawings from sketches and existing drawings, and to develop electrical construction documentation in Revit as part of a BIM team.

You will set up new Revit projects, coordinate with plumbing, mechanical, architectural, structural and telecom disciplines, and attend coordination meetings to deliver precise, fully coordinated design packages.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical or Associates Degree in CAD/Construction Technology or Electrical Technology.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM platforms and current drawing practices.
• Experience with electrical drafting and Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design drawings based on engineer input and existing sketches.
• Set up new Revit projects using company templates.
• Develop electrical construction docs and BIM models in Revit.
• Create field and fabrication drawings and coordinate with trades.
• Manage files, updates, links and provide technical project support.
