Job summary

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists providing in-home, school, and day-care services. You’ll work one-on-one with children with autism under a BCBA’s guidance, following individualized plans, collecting data, and building meaningful relationships that support child growth.

The role offers direct mentorship from a BCBA, flexibility for full-time or part-time schedules, and opportunities toward BCBA certification.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification is required or in progress

• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to ~50 lbs may be needed

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism in homes, schools, and communities
• Follow individualized plans created by a BCBA and implement behavior strategies
• Collect and record data on client progress to inform treatment
• Collaborate with BCBA mentorship for ongoing development

Either way, you’ll work alongside a dedicated BCBA who mentors you from day one, not a manager, not a corporate supervisor.

The job
You’ll work one-on-one with kids with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities. Every day is different. You’ll follow a personalized plan from your BCBA, implement behavior strategies, collect data, and build the consistent relationships that help kids grow. Your BCBA is closely involved and reachable, so there’s no guessing and no flying solo.

What’s in it for you:

• $20–$27/hour, based on experience and location

• Full-time or part-time (some flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings is needed to meet client needs; not sure if a schedule fits? Just ask, we have many)

• Depending on the practice: training reimbursement and paid hands-on learning for those earning their certification

You’re a good fit if you:

• Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially kids who need extra patience and creativity

• Have an active RBT certification, or the drive to earn one

• Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings, since our clients count on consistency

• Come from education, childcare, psychology, social work, or any role where you showed up for kids

• Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools

• Can keep up physically, getting on the floor, moving around, staying active (able to lift ~50 lbs)

• Are at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can pass a background check
