Job summary

Alpaca Health is seeking dedicated RBTs to work in clients' homes, classrooms, and communities. You will implement ABA plans under the supervision of a BCBA, collect data, and build strong relationships with kids and families.

You don’t need certification to apply for many roles; we’ll help you earn your RBT certification while you work, with mentorship and growth toward BCBA. Full-time or part-time options available in California regions.

• Reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
• Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent and able to pass a background check.

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists, working in homes, schools, and daycares. We hire certified RBTs and motivated people ready to become one. Either way, you’ll work alongside a dedicated BCBA who mentors you from day one, not a manager, not a corporate supervisor.

The job
You’ll work one-on-one with kids with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities. Every day is different. You’ll follow a personalized plan from your BCBA, implement behavior strategies, collect data, and build the consistent relationships that help kids grow. Your BCBA is closely involved and reachable, so there’s no guessing and no flying solo.

What’s in it for you:

• $20–$27/hour, based on experience and location

• Direct mentorship from a dedicated BCBA, not managers or a corporate chain of command

• Full-time or part-time (some flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings is needed to meet client needs; not sure if a schedule fits? Just ask, we have many)

• Depending on the practice: training reimbursement and paid hands-on learning for those earning their certification

You’re a good fit if you:

• Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially kids who need extra patience and creativity

• Have an active RBT certification, or the drive to earn one

• Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings, since our clients count on consistency

• Come from education, childcare, psychology, social work, or any role where you showed up for kids

• Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools

• Can keep up physically, getting on the floor, moving around, staying active (able to lift ~50 lbs)

• Are at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can pass a background check
