Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of a novel mental health therapy across designated US treatment centers. You will build consultative, clinically driven relationships with psychiatrists and healthcare providers while ensuring alignment with regulatory and patient access frameworks.

The role requires traveling up to 70% within a field-based structure, reporting to the Regional Sales Director. Prior launch experience in specialty biotech/pharma is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets is preferred.
• Experience with medical/pharmacy benefit reimbursement, buy-and-bill, and payer processes.
• Proven success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Experience with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, academic medical centers, or complex site-of-care models preferred.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with healthcare providers.
• Collaborative, with strong business acumen and territory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to launch and uptake the therapy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant product and disease-state education.
• Identify appropriate patients and guide referral pathways.
• Collaborate with sites to onboard and optimize treatment workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, including scheduling and patient flow.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Ops.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways.
• Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and launch.
• Manage territory planning, calls, and performance tracking.
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, patient-centric behavior.
• Contribute to culture of collaboration and learning.
