Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join its nursing team in Augusta, GA. This 84-bed facility provides specialized care for adolescents and adults, guided by Universal Health Services’ mission and standards.

You will participate in treatment planning, assist in admissions, orientation, and group sessions, and maintain essential documentation, with a focus on safe observation and patient-centered care within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Behavioral Technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver's license with no suspensions or tickets for major traffic violations for at least three years.
• Experience working with children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program (Handle With Care).
• Additional pay offered for lifeguard certification.
