Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is a 84-bed facility in Augusta, GA providing psychiatric services with a patient-centric approach. The Mental Health Technician supports observation and coordination of care as part of the nursing team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective programming aligned with UHS standards.

Responsibilities include participating in treatment planning, assisting admissions, orienting new patients, planning group sessions and maintaining essential documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• CNA and RBT encouraged to apply.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Must be willing to become certified in Handle With Care.

Responsibilities

• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Orient new patients to the unit and their program.
• Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation.
